Well the real season is now beginning. We have worked really hard to get ready for these next three weeks. This is the part of the season where every game really matters. Invite as many friends and family as you can to the next two home games. Both Faith and Hillcrest have been league rivals for years and they always bring big crowds. They are going to be very exciting games.
I just received a call about a JV game next Monday. First Lutheran Sylmar wants to play our younger players on Monday October 22nd at 3:00 PM at their field. This will be alot of fun and will give our younger players a chance to play someone else besides our own team. They have worked really hard to help our starters get better each week, so it will be nice to see them play. We will take the bus, and leave the school about 1:45.
This Saturday we need the boys at Canyon at 5:00 PM. We still need some help before the game setting up the field (5:15-5:30). We also need help on the chain crew, and video taping from the sideline. These next few weeks we want to get some close up action of the boys down on the field. A camera will be provided.

I just want to say, being relatively new to this sport and to SCCS, how tremendously proud I am of our boys, and their Christ-like performance both on and off the field. It's a blessing and a privilege to be in the stands, rooting for such fine young men. Go Cardinals, you are our champions for Christ!!!
