Hillcrest Game - Prayer Requests - LA Lutheran Game

Well what a game!!! This was one of the most exciting games of the year. It really took a team effort to win this game and secure a playoff spot. I truly believe the hard work the guys put in last week really got them ready for the game. I was so proud of the guys and thought they represented Christ and the school in a great way.

We need to be in prayer for the Peter family. Dave and Stacey have a daughter Kadence who has been diagnosed with Leukemia. She is 3 years old. Stacey is also expecting their second child any day. Dave is the Football Coach for California Lutheran in Wildomar. They are great family who is trusting God during this difficult time. The boys all signed a letter for Kadence and we sent her a Teddy Bear. We also sent Dave and Stacey gift cards to a few restraunts in Wildomar. Please keep them in prayer.

This Saturday we play LA Lutheran at 2:00 PM at First Lutherans Campus in Sylmar. We just found out that the bus is down until it gets its annual inspection in a couple weeks, so we need parent drivers. Thanks for all you help and support.

UPDATES

Well what a game on Saturday. The guys fought so hard all game. That is a very good Faith team, and we proved we can stay with them if we play Cardinal football. We had some tough breaks in the second half, and Faith made some great plays. Hopefully we will get to see them again in the playoffs.

JV Football Game today is Cancelled due to the fires. We will try to make it up next Monday.

No practice today, practice tomorrow TBA (Depending on the air quality)

LEAGUE IS HERE!!!

Well the real season is now beginning. We have worked really hard to get ready for these next three weeks. This is the part of the season where every game really matters. Invite as many friends and family as you can to the next two home games. Both Faith and Hillcrest have been league rivals for years and they always bring big crowds. They are going to be very exciting games.

I just received a call about a JV game next Monday. First Lutheran Sylmar wants to play our younger players on Monday October 22nd at 3:00 PM at their field. This will be alot of fun and will give our younger players a chance to play someone else besides our own team. They have worked really hard to help our starters get better each week, so it will be nice to see them play. We will take the bus, and leave the school about 1:45.

This Saturday we need the boys at Canyon at 5:00 PM. We still need some help before the game setting up the field (5:15-5:30). We also need help on the chain crew, and video taping from the sideline. These next few weeks we want to get some close up action of the boys down on the field. A camera will be provided.
